On October 24, 2024, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) opened 6 new varieties of food additives for public feedback. This includes two new varieties of enzyme preparations for food industry — Peroxidase and Xylanase, two new varieties of food nutritional fortification substances — 3'-Sialyllactose sodium salt and Lacto-N-neotetraose, and two food additives with the scope of use expanded — magnesium oxide and hydrogen peroxide. Any comments can be submitted before November 24, 2024. Details are as follows:

The scope of use, usage and quality specifications of Lacto-N-neotetraose are implemented in accordance with the NHC Announcement No. 8 of 2023 (except for Appendix C Information on Bacteria for the Production of Lacto-N-neotetraose).
