During the National Two Sessions in 2025, a series of key tasks such as "boosting consumption and increasing quality supply", "developing new-type productive forces" and "enhancing supply chain resilience" have attracted wide attention. In this article, the representative views of food industry are sorted out for reference of related enterprises.

Establish a food safety information sharing platform

Wang Ya, a deputy to the National People's Congress and Director of the Zhangjiajie Food and Drug Inspection Institute, suggested that a food safety information sharing platform should be built from the national level to solve the problem of non-sharing and asymmetric information of all parties, and detailed and unified sentencing rules for food safety crimes should be formulated as soon as possible to build a strong food safety defense line.

Improve the national grading standard system for food quality

Shi Jubin, a deputy to the National People's Congress and Chairman of HAOXIANGNI Food for Health Co., Ltd., pointed out in the proposal that first, clarify the positioning of food safety standards and food quality standards, such as the requirement of ensuring food safety is included in food safety standards, and items not related to food safety revert to quality standards;

Secondly, establish and improve the national grading standard system for food quality, e.g. systematically sorting out all kinds of foods, and formulating unified, clear and detailed national grading standards according to key elements such as food quality characteristics and nutritional components;

Thirdly, standardize the labeling and indication, such as requiring enterprises to organize production in strict accordance with national standards, for foods that meet national standards, give clear and standardized grade labeling on the label of package, while the market supervision department should increase law enforcement efforts, regularly carry out sampling inspection on the labeling of foods on the market.

Support technological innovation projects

Leng Youbin, a deputy to the National People's Congress and Chairman of Feihe Dairy, suggested supporting dairy deep processing enterprises to carry out technological innovation projects and promote the application of new technologies and new processes in the whole industry. At the same time, special financial subsidy funds should be set up to support technological transformation, equipment upgrading and new product research and development of enterprises, and land funding support should be given to the construction of raw material production bases.
