On July 2, 2025, the National Health Commission issued the Announcement No.4 of 2025 on 20 kinds of "three new" foods including D-allulose, among which the synthetic biology novel food ingredient "D-allulose", two infant strains, namely "Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BLa80", "Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis LMG11588" and "ascorbyl palmitate (enzymatic)", and several other products have been successfully approved!

The quality specifications of this substance should be implemented in accordance with the NHC Announcement No. 8 of 2023 (except for Appendix C Information on Bacteria for the Production of 2'-fucosyllactose), and the production bacteria information on the new variety of nutritional fortification substance is shown in the following table.

Amended the physical and chemical indicators of the food additive magnesium L-threonate and the determination requirements for the content of magnesium L-threonate in the Announcement No. 8 of 2016 by former National Health and Family Planning Commission.
