CFSA| Soliciting Opinions on 11 New Varieties of Food Additives

On September 26, 2024, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) opened 11 new food additives for public feedback. This includes 5 new varieties of food additives such as Glutamine transaminase, 3 new varieties of food nutritional fortification substances such as 3-fucosyllactose, food additives with the usage expanded — sucralose and acesulfame potassium, and the  food nutritional fortification substance with the scope of use expanded 2'-fucosyllactose. Any comments can be submitted before October 26, 2024. Details are as follows:

1. Chinese name: 大茴香脑(合成法)

English name: trans-Anethole

Function classification: food flavoring substance

1. Chinese name: 3-岩藻糖基乳糖

English name: 3-fucosyllactose, 3-FL

English name: β-Alanine

3. Chinese name: 低聚果糖

English name: Fructooligosaccharide

Dosage and scope of use

The scope of use and usage of the substance should comply with the provisions of fructooligosaccharide approved in the National Food Safety Standard Standard for the Use of Nutritional Fortification Substances in Foods (GB 14880).
