Q:Can hydrogenated vegetable oil be added to children's snacks?
A:According to the food classification system of Appendix E of GB 2760-2014 National Food Safety Standard Standard for Uses of Food Additives, hydrogenated vegetable oil belongs to a food category and is not a food additive. Whether it can be added to a specific food should be judged according to laws, regulations and standards. For example,in GB 10769-2010 National Food Safety Standard Cereal-based Complementary Foods for Infants and Young Children and GB 10770-2010 National Food Safety Standard Canned Complementary Foods for Infants and Young Children,it is clear that "hydrogenated oils and fats should not be used"in the requirements for raw materials.
